Electronic components are circuit’s basic functioning elements. Components affect electrons and their behaviour. They can change the flow of electrons passing through them. These basic circuit elements possess their own properties and can be used in electronic circuits to perform a specific task . Some basic components and their uses are mentioned below Resistor:-  A passive component that offers electrical resistance to the electronic circuit. The unit is Ohm (Ω). Capacitor:- Also a passive component which adds capacitance to the circuit. The capacitor has many uses in circuit. It can be used as a filter to smooth the output signal. A PCB is a basic building block of an electronic circuit. It provides mechanical structure and rigidity to the circuit and it also connects electronic components electrically using electrical traces or paths. The traces or paths are created by etching the PCB. A handmade PCB uses ZERO board which has various holes pre drilled. In single layer PCBs components can be mounted on one side only. In double layer PCBs components can be mounted on both sides. In multilayer PCBs components are mounted on both sides and has multiple layers on traces and tracks. Simple and small circuits containing few components can be constructed on Single layer PCBs. Complex and large circuits with many components can be constructed on double layer PCBs and on Multilayer PCBs.
